Annual Day 2015 at Lourdes Central School brought out the essence of family values in a meaningful way.
The programme commenced with prayer song followed by welcome dance. Rev. Fr. Robert D’Souza, Principal, welcomed the gathering and presented the School Annual report. Mr AB Ibrahim, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, who was the Chief Guest, expressed his views on present education system which gives more importance to the percentage of marks rather than values of life. He urged the parents to facilitate the children to become good citizens. He also stated that a good student will be an asset to the parents as well as to the society.
Ms Jacintha Vijay Alfred, Mayor, Mangaluru City Corporation graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
Rev.Fr.Wilson Vitus D’Souza who presided over the function, in his presidential address lauded the tireless efforts put in by the Principal, the faculty and students for organizing mind blowing thematic cultural programme. Through an anecdote he requested the parents to give quality time to the children.
The entire cultural evening was made very colourful by the students by depicting the family values by means of songs, dance and drama.
Ms Belita Mascarenhas, Vice Principal extended her gratitude to all those who were responsible for making this event a grand success. Abner Pinto and Shruti Lal compered the programme. Dr. Preethi Ballal,Vice President PTEC, Mr Nirmal D’Souza Vice President Parish Pastoral Parishad, Bijai were present.
