Mind is like a parachute. It functions only when it opens-Lord Baden Powell. GUIDING is one movement which was born not by an external agency, but the guides themselves. Lourdes Central School conducts the meeting of the guides unit on every Tuesday from 2:15 to 3:15 P.M. There are totally 18 students from the age group of 11 to 15 years. The guides are put into permanent teams under their own leaders. In this unit the guides learn their own patrol, its motto, promise, general rules of health, B.P six exercises, wood craft signs, knots, first aid, house hold responsibilities like cooking, water storage etc. Every year tests are conducted for Pratham Sopan,Drithya Sopn and Trithya Sopan. This will make them grow up into a healthy, happy,productive and useful citizen and to be always prepared for any service they are called upon to render.
