CLASS 4-PICNIC

Picnic to Tannirbhavi Tree Park

After a lactic schedule of studies and midterm exam, LCS was all set to give a break for the students of Class IV from their mundane life and therefore organized half a day’s picnic to Tannirbhavi Tree Park. One hundred and fifty one students along with twelve teachers set in school buses at 7.50 a.m. The Lourdites were welcomed and greeted by Mr Sridhar, the forest ranger and his team. The happiness of the students beamed through the 15 acres of the tree park when they studied various plants and trees and the sculptors like the Chipko movement, the tribes who are solely dependent on Flora and Fauna. After half an hour’s journey around the park the revellers   rushed to the play area, some to the beach, some to the grassy area to play their favourite games. They were escorted by the teachers and rangers to the allotted safe areas. When the sun shined bright the Lourdites quenched their thirst with the juice and satisfied their hunger with the snacks and fruits provided by the school. They also shared the snacks brought by them. The birthday girls were cheered and wished by everyone by singing the birthday song and then enjoyed the sweets given by them. After a lot of playing children relished the sumptuous chicken biryani and veg biryani provided by the caterers and chilled their body with the cone ice cream. The picnickers returned back to school at 2.30 p.m. with beautiful memories to share with their families.
