An excursion to Pandit’s Health Resort was organised by Lourdes Central School on 28th September 2017 for Class IX. We, students had to report to school at 7:30am. In about 15 minutes, we all gathered in rows next to the buses and our Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’Souza recited a small prayer after which he explained the rules and guidelines which we were supposed to follow. By 8:00am, we were all seated inside the bus and left for the resort. We had a wonderful time on the bus as all of us were dancing and listening to music. In about an hour, we reached the resort. Immediately, we were taken to the restaurant to have breakfast. There was a wide spread of different varieties of breakfast items and everybody ate a hearty fill. Then we were free to play any outdoor games. Majority of the boys played football, the others basketball and some of them were hanging out in the park. The girls were playing board games, watching the boys play football or they were chatting with each other. This went on till 1:00pm after which we were called for lunch. Everybody was hungry as they had played for about 3-4 hours. We all ate a sumptuous lunch. By then it started raining heavily. But the rain didn’t stop us from enjoying. Immediately after lunch, the heavy downpour stopped and we were excited to get into the pool. There was a huge rush at the changing room as everyone wanted to change into their swimming costumes and jump into the pool. After spending an hour and a half in the pool, we changed back into our school uniforms and ate some snacks that was provided by the resort. After eating snacks, we set out again back to school. We reached the school by 6:00pm after which our parents picked us up and took us home. This is a picnic which we will remember for days to come.
