DECENNIAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION 2009

(Sports Day from Kindergarten and Class 1 to 5)

The LCS family celebrated the decennial sports day of the Kindergarten and Primary Section –Class 1 to 5 on 24th November at LCS open grounds. The Chief Guest of the function Fr Michael L Santhamayor the Principal of Padua P U college was escorted by our Principal Ms Grace Noronha and Fr Ajit Asst Parish Priest,Bejai . We had a prayer session to invoke God's Blessing.

The gathering was given a warm welcome by the Vice Principal, Ms Joy Rai . The main attraction of the Sports Day was the March Past by our smart Lourdites who marched confidently with poise and grace.

Speaking to the students Rev Fr Micheal L Santhamayor congratulated them for the amazing performance and urged them to keep up the sportsmanship spirit. There was a colourful display from the tiny tots of KG 1 and 2.Principal Ma'am Ms Grace Noronha encouraged and cheered the children.

“Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.”

The future of LCS from KG1 Class 3 portrayed their talent and team spirit.The prize winners of Classes 4 and 5 were felicitated and honoured by  PTA President Mr Ivan D'Souza and Ms Grace Noronha for the various atheletic events like long jump, 50 mts race and 100 mtr race.

If you play-its recreation

If you work at it-its health.

The students of Classes 3 ,4 and 5 presented aerobics under the guidance of   Mr Preetham Kumar our physical Education teacher.They proved how short a time it takes to something wonderful to happen. On behalf of the parents Mr Ivan Monteiro shared his views about the sports day.

Mr Preetham Kumar expressed his gratitude by saying the Vote of Thanks. The day was concluded with the National Anthem.
