Childrens Day

'One laugh of the child will make the holiest day more sacred still'.
We the students of LCS had been waiting for this day with great enthusiasm. It was our day...... “The Children's Day ". This was the day we really had fun in school. Chacha Nehru the dynamic Prime Minister of India was born on this day. Unlike the other years, this year our school celebrated Children's day in a unique manner. In connection with the celebration we also had throw ball and cricket match which was played by students versus teachers, and of course teachers were proved as the best.

Our beloved teachers set up a surprise programme for us, inspite of their busy schedule. Principal Ms Grace Noronha, Vice Principal Ms Joy Rai, Father Ajith, Vice Preident of PTA Ms Lovie Rebello and some members of PTA were present to witness this fabulous show.

The programme started off with prayer dance invoking Almighty's choicest blessings, and making the atmosphere really peaceful. Our Vice Principal Ms Joy Rai gave a warm and cordial welcome.

This was followed by a hilarious fashion show with the teacher models displaying different kinds of LUNGIS which also had a message that beckoned us to answer nature's cry. Our dear Principal urged the students to follow the ideals of Jawarharlal Nehru and said that we children are the future citizens of India.

Next we were transported to a sensational world of music and dance. Father Ajith the Assist Parish Priest of Bejai Church emphasised on the importance of children's day. We had another spectacular show of teachers presenting a beautiful dance 'O Meri Munni'. Yet another shocking surprise was the magic show were two magicians blew our minds away with an array of magnificent tricks and illusions. The day ended with a concert that rocked the hall, with the whole school dancing to the beat of the music. Our sincere gratitude to our school management and the members of the staff for making this day a memorable one.
Kudos to each and every member of the staff. You really put us on top of the world.
