The wonder of teaching is watching ‘caterpillars become butterflies”.  Education is not preparation for life, instead education itself is life.  With the grace of God, wishes of founders, dream of management, efforts of faculty and enthusiasm of students, today Lourdes Central School has made it own name in the field of education with outstanding academic results and mind blowing achievements in extra –curricular activities.  Lourdes Central School proudly stands as a premier institution by global accreditation.  It’s a great honour and finest pleasure to lead such an eminent institution.  The purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one.  It should help the children to realize their talents and make them strong enough to stand on their feet.  The student today is an individual, is a real person with self-respect, sensitivity, responsibility and compassion.  With the support of a committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and cooperating parents, which blend harmoniously, we are able to create a child centric school.

The school magazine is a milestone that marks our growth, unfolds our imagination and gives life to our thoughts and inspirations. It enhances a wide spectrum of creative skills of students. Congratulations for the entire editorial team for their hard work in bringing out this edition of magazine.

In this pursuit of excellence I thank the school Manager Rev. Fr Wilson L. Vitus D’Souza and Principal Rev. Fr Michael Lobo for taking keen interest in the development of the school. As Fr Michael Lobo is transferred to Kadaba. I wish him all success in his future endevours.

I appreciate our parent fraternity for supporting the school in every aspect.  I also laud the relentless efforts of our teachers for giving their best in bringing out the best in each child.  But I would exhort the students to be always modest, humble and disciplined while being ready to expand horizons of their knowledge and skills by dreaming big and working hard.

“The greatest aim of education is not knowledge but action”. As we are in the new academic year, let’s be an action oriented person to reach the goals that we have set.

Rev. Fr. Robert D’Souza
